Antigua boasts 365 beaches to give its visitors the choice of a different one every day of the year. If you want to sit and relax, this is the place to do it. If you are interested in its history, you can explore Nelson’s Dockyard when visiting, which is part of a national park. It is the only Georgian naval dockyard in existence. It was built in 1725 and was once England’s most important naval outpost in the Caribbean. Antigua is a very historic island and has a lot of very interesting buildings that have been restored. At Redcliffe Quay, a series of these historic buildings have been transformed into a little retail village.
The Dominican Republic covers more than half of Hispaniola which is the second-largest Caribbean island. Vacationers can partake in many different activities such as canyoning and windsurfing. Sister cities Trinidad and Tobago are extremely different from one another. Trinidad is the largest of these two cities. It is famous for its lively Carnival, one of the world’s great street parties. It also boasts a bountiful countryside, with large forest preserves and marshland, Tobago, just 21 miles away, is a haven for those looking for the typical Caribbean vacation. It offers cozy resorts, breathtaking beaches and a substantial marine environment. Since both these islands started as part of the South American mainland, they have a much larger population of different plant and animal species than other Caribbean islands.
